In the last few weeks I have went to different Pay Lakes and Carp fished and only had luck at Wagon Wheel with a corn and grits packbait. I've also went to Indy Lakes and watched other people catch fish while I get skunked. Over the weekend I went to Hubbards and got skunked and watched other people catch fish. What kind of bait and flavors, works at these lakes? I'm like you, I just wanna catch some fish. It gets depressing watching other people catch fish. lol. I also am using a Size 4 hook and a corn puff to pack the bait around with a 1/8 oz sliding weight. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Try making your pack bait with soy meal or oatmeal, bread crumbs all are good i have success with all you can find good recpies on this forum.Your hook size is ok i use nothing under a half ounce weight, corn puff or a bead and just corn on a hook all works.

All of Huxleys Hot Blend work well at paylakes and you don't even need to buy all those grain, Each blend is proven and I use all four. You can find it at West Side or at Hoosiercarpbait.com

What flavors do you like to add to it and do you put anything else other than sweetcorn in it?

I'm one who doesn't add flavor to the pac. I flavor the hook bait. Grand Pappy's Flavors is what I use. Butternut,Banana, are my fovorites.
