Why does my pva bags just float on top of the water, until it dissolves? I've wasted alot of bags, so someone please help

I assume you're placing your lead inside. Then poke plenty of holes and cut off the corners. This usually makes it sink quickly.

all i do when that happens put a little carp friendly oil in it and poke alot of holes in it.

Hi Mike I have never had that happen to me my lead sinks it without a problem. I use griper leads that Jimmy sells at the shop. Sorry I was of no help on this one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

If you dont want to put your lead in the bag, just put a small rock or two. Then poke a few holes in the bag.

Keep in mind too that as the water gets colder it will take longer and longer for the bags to dissolve. At this time of the year, I switch to PVA mesh.

As Tim said switch to mesh this time of year.
Once you have used mesh for a little while ,you will most likely not go back to bags !
Also useing mesh this time of year you will put less feed around in the swim.
This is very good as fish don't seem to eat as much in colder water.
